Proposed: Goochland - Fairground Road (Route 632) Extension

The primary purpose of this project is to extend Fairground Road (Route 632) from the proposed roundabout at Sandy Hook Road (Route 522) to a new intersection at River Road W. (Route 6). An eastbound left turn lane will be added along River Road W.

The proposed extension (shown above in yellow) would span from the proposed roundabout at Sandy Hook Road (Route 522) to a new intersection at River Road W. (Route 6). Alternative extensions (shown in blue, green and orange) will be available to view and discuss at the September 12 public meeting.

Benefits 

The preferred extension provides more direct access to areas north of the project, as well as greater development space to the east and south. Additionally, the preferred extension is the second lowest cost alternative compared to others pictured above and it minimizes wetland impacts.
