Recently Completed: Route 143 Intersection Improvements at Rochambeau Drive and I-64E Exit 238 Off-Ramp

Cost and schedule ►

The project added an acceleration lane to the channelized right-turn lane from Rochambeau Drive to southbound Route 143 and replace the existing traffic signal with a new traffic signal.

This was accomplished by widening along the existing inside grassed median and shifting the through lanes towards the median, and using the existing right through lane for the acceleration lane to avoid numerous utility relocations.

Existing guardrail at the two overhead sign structures on the southbound side were updated due to the lane shift.

To increase safety through intersection improvements at Capitol Landing Road (Rte. 143) and Rochambeau Drive (F-137).
