Recently Completed: Route 635 (Tucker Swamp Rd.) Bridge Replacement Project

The Virginia Department of Transportation reopened Route 635 (Tucker Swamp Road) over the Norfolk Southern Railroad on April 30, 2019 following a successful bridge replacement project. Curtis Contracting completed the $2.7 million project one day ahead of schedule.

Construction began in February 2018, and the contract had a fixed completion date of May 1, 2019.

The construction site was located on Tucker Swamp Road between Route 460 (General Mahone Boulevard) and Route 622 (New Road) in Ivor.
