This project will widen Ladysmith Road to four lanes with a raised median from Interstate 95 to Route 1 in Caroline County.
The project will include installation of new traffic signal equipment, sidewalks and crosswalks. A modified traffic signal will be installed at Route 1 and Ladysmith Road.
Benefits
- Increases capacity to handle current and future traffic demand
- Enhances pedestrian travel by building new sidewalk along the eastbound and westbound lanes
- Enhances bicyclist travel through wider, shared travel lanes
