Studies: Route 3 Study (King George, Westmoreland, Richmond and Lancaster)
Cost and schedule ►
The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), in partnership with the Northern Neck Planning District Commission, has carried out the first phase of a study to improve the efficiency of the Route 3 corridor between Route 301 in King George County and the Robert O. Norris Bridge in Lancaster County.
The study shows existing conditions on Route 3 and identifies problem areas.
Several public meetings were held in June 2015 to share the study’s initial findings, and to seek feedback on how Route 3 can be improved. A second round of public meetings were held in December 2015 to share the updated draft study.
The study was finalized in May 2016.
