Recently Completed: Route 1 Turn Lane at Potomac Creek Drive

This project will make minor improvements to Route 1 in Stafford County at Potomac Creek Drive, near an industrial park entrance.

The project will build a left turn lane from Route 1 southbound onto Potomac Creek Drive.

The project includes pavement treatment and re-striping.

During spring 2019, utility relocation work began near the project site. This work has begun ahead of construction.

• Project maintains two through travel lanes of Route 1 southbound, moving left-turning vehicle traffic into a dedicated left turn lane
